your remodel made more room but your not keeping anything stocked so your going to run customers away.

Poorly Conceptualized Store

Lost customers-Inserted a poorly conceptualized store close to high-value neighborhoods. Take the product out of the middle of the main aisles. This alone will make a huge difference. Some groceries sold, but not enough to qualify as a superstore.

Allow plenty of time (not for anyone who's in a big hurry). Large selections, varieties, and low pricing a great bonus. This goes also for pharmacy .
