White House Restaurant   

the year 2006 and its been over 5 years that this place has needed a face lift. lame inland empire and tourists( the ones from ohio) have discovered it... anywhere else would be better to throw away your money. the food is seriously not good. years ago this was the most happening place in laguna. it really needs a shot in the arm and a hardcore change in management. gawd do i miss svelte in corona del mar.

I just moved to Laguna Beach a few weeks ago and everyone in town told me to check this place out. I called and spoke with the manager, D., who not only invited me to come down but also bought me a welcome drink! Great place, great atmosphere, beautiful servers...what more could you want? One great plus: everyone was friendly...from D. on down to the big man at the door (you'll see him). The live band was tight and people seemed to have fun. There's an excellent menu...down to the requisite $10.00 hamburger. A tip...there's a separate entrance that leads directly to the dance floor on a side street to PCH.

My wife and I were there on a Sunday afternoon and ate outside. The food was fantastic. Sole almondine and seafood platter plus the creme brulee was the best. Our waitress was beautiful and she had the whitest teeth. We couldn't have had a better Sunday meal anywhere. We'll be back looking for that waitress and enjoying another great meal.

" Wow... you (rangehasal) must have been seriously intoxicated that night, because you were at at MoSun... Not the White House. At least you were at a real club, though... Skip the White House, go *anywhere* else in Laguna.. Ocean Avenue Brewery, Club M, the Sandpiper are ALL far better picks. If you're going to the White House be prepared to be groped by drunk patron and security guard alike. Yeah.. You BET they're friendly. Worth stepping over this bar on your Laguna Beach pub crawl... sorry.
