Sister to its sibling locations in Hawaii, the Surf City restaurant/bar pays tribute to its roots by showcasing old longboard photos, boards and surf paraphernalia among the warm koa wood and lush plants that evoke a tropical atmosphere without resorting to campiness. Bartenders and waitstaff wear Hawaiian shirts and pareos, while bamboo and teak furnishings and trim further add to the island feel. As expected, the Barefoot Bar at Duke's Huntington Beach serves lots of mai tais and other wacky umbrella drinks. The menu is heavy on the fresh fish and seafood, but chicken and beef dishes are also available. The best part about Duke's is its stellar view of the beach and nearby pier -- perfect for watching the sunset or the surfers.
