Hamburger Mary's   

That Hamburger Mary she sure gets around. She's made her way to the OC and, boy, is she a good time. Mary is a little bit Mae West and a little bit Ronald McDonald, so her menu and her ambience are just a little bawdy and full of that all-American, good-time feeling. According to Mary herself, the place is "an open-air grill for open-minded people." Says Philly co-owner Tom Rigg, Hamburger Mary's is a "straight-friendly restaurant." That means a casual, family-style restaurant and rowdy bar scene with local entertainment and all manner of fun and games. Expect the usual burger-joint bar food with some fresh surprises, such as an avocado burger, a Hawaiian burger with sliced pineapple, wraps, salads and "special-tease" including caramel-glazed fried chicken and a Palm Spring Beach Plate with chicken, fried eggs, black beans and avocado. And, yes, that naughty-girl theme is played out, with cutesy-bad names for dishes like Golden Cala-Mary, Mary's Hot Legs, Love Me Tenders and so on.
