The place might look a little worn down from the outside (and the inside as well if you look hard enough), but the Frat House has remained a staple bar within the gay community ever since it opened its doors in 1984. And what the club owners save in maintenance, they pass on in savings to their customers: cocktails are affordable and the free entertainment is amazing. The drag shows are immensely well-known in Orange County, and there are different theme nights practically every night of the week. The little bar has a couple of pool tables and a nice vintage pinball machine, but the feature that gets most use is the tiny dance floor -- get there at the right time (usually after 9PM) and there's usually a DJ that spins quick tempo house and '70s-era disco. Or swing by in the afternoon or during happy hour and the jukebox filled with dance anthems does well to get the regulars on the floor.

The club is bad and the drag show was real bad no fun at all .They say no cover then you get there they ask for 8 dollors this is a really bad show .!!!!!! Bottom line is they scam you for your money with a poor show

It's like a second home...

It's like a second home, complete with a second family. As a regular of The Frat House now for the past fifteen years, I can tell you that you won't find a friendlier bunch of regulars (especially on Saturdays) enjoying the county's longest happy hour from 3pm to 9pm. No one is turned away provided you leave all the drama and attitude at the door. And at night, you hvae great DJ's, cheap drink specials. Nearly the last Gay bar in Orange County, The Frat House welcomes all walks of the Gay Community. So come on by! At the very least, you'll make a few new pals. There are some changes that need to be mentioned, however. The bar does not open until 4pm Monday through Friday, and at 3pm on Saturday's and Sundays. A new pool tournement is under way on Wednesday nights and there will be a Super Bowl Party on February 4th starting at 2pm. There is a $5 dollar cover Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights, and free pool all night long on Tuesday's and Thursdays. See ya there!
