Tortilla Flats   

If you've ever heard the term "Taco Tuesdays," you can thank Ellen Levinson, owner of Tortilla Flats. Not only did she coin the phrase, but she had it licensed and trademarked as well. That should give you some clue as to how popular this restaurant is. Located directly over Lake Mission Viejo, TF's (as the locals call it) may be one of the best pick-up restaurants in all of Orange County. Sure, this Mexican eatery is known for its lobster and fresh fish menu (waiters claim one out of every two orders are from the seafood menu), but TF's is on the map for one reason: its singles scene. Lonely hearts from all over OC have made the pilgrimage to Tortilla Flats (especially on Tuesday when all prices are slashed) in hopes of meeting that special someone. Shy? Try one of their gourmet happy hour margaritas made with fresh fruit and Paradiso tequila -- a couple of these and you've got enough liquid courage to chat up even the stuffiest OC divorcee.
