21 Oceanfront   

The " Rex " restaurant was the hit of the 1980's in Newport Beach. In 1990 this moved to another location and 21Oceanfront was born to the same proprieter. In 1991 this man went bancrupt and the restaurant went to the landlord as payment of debts. This was sold to another landlord in 2001 and is neither hip, nor Romantic but rather drab and Jurasic with absolute mediocore food and spirits. In a County where so much more is offered it is amazing the biased your reviewer has shown in misleading your AOL subscribers this Valentines day.

Interesting review but a little biased in my opinion. the place is outdated and the food is ok but not anything to rave about. The area has many other fine dinning places that are much more in tune with today. Great location very nice people working there. So I guess it would not hurt to try it.

21 Oceanfront speaks for itself. Zagats Survey voted 21 Oceanfront #1 seafood in ALL of Orange County. It's the ONLY fine dining restaurant in Newport Beach, on the PACIFIC OCEAN. The review from "fimike" that you see on this site, is a jealous restaurant owner who bashes other restaurants. Disregard his reviews for any restaurants. Happy Valentine's Day. . . make your reservations for 21 Oceanfront and see for yourself that the food is of the greatest quality & the service and view are the best too.
