Vietnamese food is a unique mix of Chinese and French cuisine, so fusion tends to be standard. This deli and bakery is the perfect example of multi-cultural fare. Banh mi is a specialty that is similar to a hoagie-style sandwich. Here, it's served stuffed with pate, pickled carrots and Chinese-style ham on freshly baked, crisp rolls. The full-service deli also serves traditional Vietnamese desserts such as banana and corn che (warm, gooey and topped with coconut milk), che with plantains, and tapioca and sticky rice. A corps of women bake all day, and people have been known to line up outside Banh Mi before it is even open. A family can eat here for around $10, making it even harder to resist. -- Victoria Namkung

Not a restaurant
This is a take-out place. Best baguette in town, thin long scrispy and fresh. Try the sandwiches and deserts. Open 24 hours.

This restaurant is not clean. Go to the branch in Westminster, on Bolsa and Magnolia, the VN sandwich is much better there. And it is cleaner. I would not return to this location.
