How do say YUCK in Japanese
By SGRISWOLDesq on 07/03/2008
We have tried it several times over the past 6 years. Dismal failure of a sushi restaurant. Yes, mikequibuyen IT is a Japanese Denny's

The freshest yellowtail around

A sushi lover for 25 years, I have found "I Love Sushi" the best by far, for fresh and wonderful sashimi.

Loved It!
By suzirv on 06/23/2005
My boyfriend and I ate here the other night for the first time, and we both agreed that it was great. I grew up eating at Japanese restaurants and sushi bars, way before they became trendy, and I was very pleased when we stumbled across I Love Sushi. It may not be flashy or have strong Asian decor, but they have an extensive and flavorful menu. Most Sushi bar menus are limited to solely Teriyaki and Tempura, but I Love Sushi has a wonderful range of non-sushi Entrees. I would recommend this place to my friends in a heart beat.

The "Denny's" of sushi
By mikequibuyen on 08/16/2004
I've been here twice and didn't care for the food either time. I'm not an expert with sushi, but freshness and presentation are pretty important to me. The ambience within the restaurant must also be right. That said, I'll never eat here again. :) I've ordered the sweet shrimp, which was slimy and tasted "fishy", and some of the nigiri sushi I had ordered had awful presentation: the fish looked badly handled and the cuts were sloppy. I also ordered a roll which was EXTREMELY overfilled with bland cream cheese and overpowered the other ingredients. Finally, the ambience makes me feel like I'm dining at Denny's. I've yet to find a place (in Orange County) that's as good as Abe Sushi in Newport, where (almost) everything I tried was not disappointing. Anyway, I'd recommend Abe over I Love Sushi any day.
