Massimo's Pizza   

Surfers, punk rockers and families alike appreciate the traditional pies at this venerable pizza place. The modest digs are close to PCH and the bustling activity near the pier. Toppings include Italian sausage, jalapenos and anchovies, and pies are available in three sizes (12", 14" or 16"). Most pies are custom-made and go great with the restaurant's 60-ounce pitchers of beer. Italian-style sandwiches, such as the Mafia (Mortadella, salami, capicollo, cheese, roast beef and ham) and Massimo's Special (roast beef, meatballs, sausage and cheese), are popular at lunch. Dinner favorites include ravioli with mushroom sauce and linguini with clam sauce. The 25-plus-year-old pizzeria is also known for its sandwiches by- the-foot, which are perfect for parties.
