Amazing Italian Food...
Don't be turned away by the other reviewer, whose review is 6 years old, Taste of Sicily is under new ownership (less than a year).
The Restaurant wasn't crowded at all (but should be!), which is probably because it's located in a strip mall. Don't worry, once you get inside it doesn't feel like it.
First off, the bread is AMAZING! I had to take my meal home because I ate so much bread. They are like garlic knots.
We were there for lunch, so we ordered off the lunch menu, which was great and reasonably priced (less than $20 for the both of us). She had Fettuccine Alfredo, and I had Lasagna and also ordered a side salad. It did take a bit of time to get the food, but you can tell it is because they're doing more than pulling it out of a warming rack. We refused a second basket of the bread, only because we knew it would fill us up. We jokingly told the owner (who came by to check on us several times) when he came by to re-fill the bread that he could throw some in when he brought the take home boxes.
My salad came, and after the garlic knots my salad could have been my meal, I was so full. side salad had more than just the mixed greens and croutons you usually get. Green olives, artichoke hearts were also included, and it was big.
The food came, and though I was full BEFORE my food even got there, I HAD to try the Lasagna. It didn't disappoint! The sauce tasted fresh, the meat was great, the mozzarella stretched from your plate to the fork, the ricotta wasn't crumbly, and the noodles were perfectly al dente.
Mom loved her Fettuccine, it was cheesy and well made. Her pasta was al dente as well.
We both had to get take home boxes, and guess what, the owner tossed in garlic knots for both of us. Not a big deal maybe, but one joking comment made almost a half an hour before was remembered and fulfilled.
The Menu isn't overly priced, and is cheaper than Olive Garden down the street, with the quality and freshness leaps and bounds beyond the chain restaurant. If you are hungry and want an inexpensive dinner, they have all you can eat spaghetti or Lasagna for less then $10.
Next time you are looking for good Italian try Taste of Sicily... and look for me, as I'll definitely be back many times in the future!
