Pomodoro   

My first expierience with Pasta Pomodoro, as it is known in San Francisco, was everything I would have expected, considering I was introduced to the restaurant by a local SF dweller. The review says it all, however what I disliked about the Newport Beach restaurant was the location. Sitting down with friends in a not so upscale setting such as th SF location, in the kitchen, literally, blasted with the wonderful smell of garlic, is a perfect story. Somehow I felt that finally I could sit among the imperfect location with the imperfect crowd and the average wage earner and have a good meal at a decent price. Finally, a place to retreat to where the rich were off eating at their own establishments, while I could relish in my discovery. Enter Newport Coast. Excellent food, typical O.C. clientele and worlds away from San Francisco. At least some things will not change.
