For Centuries the English Inn has earned a great reputation for Friendly faces, cozy rooms and cheery firesides. As soon as guests come to the Inn, the charming host and hostesses run to greet them. In front of a crackling fire one can partake of good hearty fare - the tankard is always full - the spit hung with roasting beefs - and a table heaped with sweets and such. The Inn keepers of the Summit House were inspired by the custom to create a hospitable place where friends could meet to eat, drink and delight in the views of North Orange County's countryside. To one and all, welcome!

Truly a 5 Star Restaurant
By di1208 on 09/27/2005
The Summit House is truly a lovely dining experience. It's a very warm, inviting and romantic place. The service is excellent, the food is beautifully served and outstanding in flavor. I have to say that while I am not a fish eater, the John Dory is amazingly wonderful. I have had it on several occasions and have never been disappointed. Their desserts are out of this world; they have THE best creme brulee I have ever had. D.M.

Excellent

My best advice is to ask for an early reservation and obtain first seating in the back of the restaurant which boasts an incredible view. I've been there there several times, tried many different entres, and have never been disappointed.

A Beef Eaters Delight
By gearjammersam on 03/26/2005
If you are a fan of Prime Rib, there is no place finer than the Summit House. It is a great way to spend a delightful evening. The service in my opinon is five star. Their creamed corn and Yorkshire pudding add that special touch to their outstanding Prime Rib. It is a challange to save room for desert.
