Hidden in a strip-mall cleverly crafted to resemble a 17th century chateau, the Tustin Brewing Company is a surprisingly good venue for food, fine micro-brewed beer and live entertainment. While the interior is decidedly plain, there is pleasant outdoor seating with heaters. The velvety Red Hill Red and robust Blimp Hanger Porter microbrews will improve your outlook on life and put hair on your chest. Thursdays and Fridays mean live entertainment, featuring cover artists belting out a wide range of music from Garth Brooks to Green Day. The hospitality and onion rings alone merit a visit. - - Rob Norwood

Miserable brew!
By scotphoto on 07/30/2007
I'm a homebrewer, AHA member and I've experienced my share of brewpubs. Beer lovers please stay away! The Hefe was bitter with none of the bananna/clove. The IPA was bitter like it's supposed to be, but watery and no hop aroma or taste. The porter was roasty but no malt flavor. I believe the brewer skimps on adjunct grains such as crystal malt thus you end up with thin watery beers. You'll have a better barley experience elsewhere such as BJ's Rockbottom or Belmont brewery

I've been going to the Tustin Brewery since it opened and I am even a Mug Club member. I've never been disappointed with the food, service or beer. Prices are reasonable, food is great, and the beer is absolutely top notch. Head brewer Matt Johnson should be proud. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great place to hang out and watch sports or just chat with friends.

Everyone needs a local . . .
By elderlawoc on 03/07/2004
In England, every gent has 'his' local. It's the place that he vissts after work, meets his friends, swaps some lies, watches some sports, and has a pint or two before going home. Tustin Brewing is my local. A great local crowd, good, fresh beer, tasty food - what more are you looking for? The place isn't high style, but it is a place that you can take a guest to and be assured that they will enjoy themselves. Even has wireless internet - for free.
