White Horses   

Although White Horses is sandwiched between touristy souvenir and bike rental shops on a narrow beachfront road, this boutique restaurant is actually a strong contender as one of the better gourmet eateries in Orange County. While its breakfast menu is admittedly conventional (think steak and eggs, pancakes and seasonal fruit), it's the lunch and dinner menu that makes this beachfront eatery so unique. The menu is divided in two: one half is made up of 10 entrees which rotates every six weeks while the second half contains a permanent selection of staples. But don't look for a theme or common thread among the dishes -- White Horses serves a variation of entrees from Italy, Mexico, Greece, France, Israel and England grouped together.
