Independent Bar   

If you're looking for a place to dance to good tunes minus the pretentiousness of many other clubs that try to keep a "hip" edge, then make a stop at Independent Bar. When you walk in, the long bar that greets you in the outer foyer is a good place to grab a quick drink or to sit and watch through the windows as people meander past. Around the corner is where the dancing begins, with a good size dance floor and a small raised stage in front for those who really like to get down. The DJs play a fantastic mix of music, from Old Wave classics to Chemical Brothers to everything in between. Out back there's an open-air courtyard, along with a stage and live music. Another bar serves as a good pit stop on the way to another indoor bar and dance floor. Cover is reasonable and suggesting a dress code is tough because everyone has their own style here. But as long as you bring your dancing shoes, you'll be fine.
