Tucked away in a nondescript street corner just south of downtown, this hidden gem serves up some of the finest burgers this side of Hamburg. Inside, a pool table, leather-back stools, odd knickknacks and laminated wood furnishings exude a shabby sports-bar chic. The affable waitresses are always eager to chat it up with customers, that is, when they're not dishing out the juicy and humongous half-pound burgers. The Philly Burger, with sauteed onions, banana peppers and choice of cheese, is everything you'd hope a burger to be, while the Full Service Burger will satisfy the cravings of the hungriest carnivore. More can't-miss menu items include their chicken wings (served mild, medium, hot and high octane), nachos and delectable deli sandwiches. The place is popular with those looking to knock back a beer after work, but the clientele is as varied as its interior. The bar area can get loud and boisterous on Sunday afternoons, so if you're there to watch the big game, get a table in front of the TVs in the seating area. If it's peace and quiet you want, try the enclosed outdoor patio. If you're craving a late-night greasy fix, the bar delivers food (and beer) 'til 12:45AM. -- Faiyaz Kara

If I am going to have a burger, there is only one place I will go to. (Johnny's Fillin Station) We live 20 miles away and I still go there atleast twice a month.

POOR SERVICE, SHOE-LEATHER BURGERS, WASTE OF TIME+MONEY
By Dmluv101 on 05/25/2008
I'd heard how GREAT the burgers are supposed to be here, so I took my wife and her grandmother to Johnny's for lunch on a Wednesday about 1 PM. There were about a half dozen other customers, and an equal number of employees. It took the waitress 15 minutes to notice us and ask what we'd like to drink (she was busy talking at the bar). Then it took another 15 minutes to get the drinks we ordered. The waitress left the drinks and walked away, not bothering to ask if we were ready to order food. Another 10 or 15 minutes went by before she finally took our food order. In about another 30 minutes, the food came out of the kitchen. The burgers were cooked to shoe-leather consistency, and without any real taste. French fries were not available that day, they were out of potatoes, so I can't comment on their fries except to say, what kind of restaurant runs out of potatoes and can't go get some? There are at least two major grocery stores within several blocks of this place. When I asked to speak to the manager on duty, a guy who appeared to be 20 to 25 years old came to our table, and showed no surprise or concern that it had taken over an hour to get worthless food to our table. Between the couldn't- be-bothered waitress, the inedible and unavailable food, and the unconcerned manager, this place left a lot to be desired. We won't be stopping there again any time soon.
