Rate and Write a Review It's not exactly Aspen. But there's no denying the apres-ski appeal of this theme bar nestled along the Orange Avenue strip. The minds behind hip Orlando night spots like the Globe and Room 3-Nine designed this casual watering hole, where you can down a fresh pint of Moosehead for a reasonable price. Animal skin rugs and frozen-in-time deer heads with antlers intact decorate the walls. It's not exactly a prime destination for a vegetarian, but the crowd isn't really the bohemian sort. Preppy college kids keen to sample The Lodge's rough-around-the-edges appeal flock here, and a flirtatious atmosphere ensues -- it's a great destination if you're in your 20s and single. But an atmosphere replete with faux log walls, exposed brick and sunken leather couches retain that straight-edge, Northeastern cool quotient that so many local bars lack. Live bands are a consideration for the future, but in the meantime, count on a mix of '80s rock and new indie tunes, with some killer '80s metal tributes piped in for the late-night crowd.
