Rate and Write a Review With the requisite elegance, panache and outstanding cuisine befitting a Dr. Phillips eatery, this contemporary Japanese restaurant is positioned to become the finest in the area. A modern decor of frosted windows, painted murals and minimalist wire-over-wire lighting complements the equally progressive menu -- a fusion of traditional Nipponese and European fare. Start with the yooqeh-tartar, Amura's version of beef carpaccio, served with a spicy sesame sauce, or the beef negi maki, scallions rolled with delightfully tender beef then grilled. Ginger dishes tend to be a little too heavy on the ginger, but the Chilean sea bass (steamed for greater sweetness) with Nobu-style black bean sauce won't disappoint. Deep-pocketed diners might want to opt for the Kobe steak dinner -- cuts coming from beef cattle that eat specially selected grain -- while they drink beer, listen to classical music and are given massages to relax the muscles. But it's the sushi that really shines here, from the eye-wateringly unique hydrogen bomb (flying fish eggs and wasabe) to the kiwi phila roll (smoked salmon, cream cheese and kiwi). Special-occasion diners might want to splurge on the deluxe Isleworth boat -- 12 pieces of sushi, 12 pieces of sashimi and eight different rolls -- all for an eye-popping $99.98. There's a separate teppan dining room and their sushi bar claims to be the largest in Orlando.
