Rate and Write a Review This venerable diner hugging the corner of Edgewater Drive and Dartmouth Street has been a part of the College Park dining scene for the better part of a decade, its longevity due, in large part, to the throwback environs and classic American fare served up. Inside, you'll find regulars sitting at the counter or on one of the checker-clothed tables enjoying simple, unaffected, though always tasty, soups, sandwiches and hot melts. Breakfasts have famished patrons clamoring for one of the premium outdoor tables, particularly during the temperate months of fall and winter. Deep-fried French toast and three-egg omelets (you'll opa! over the Greek omelet with lamb, feta, tomatoes, olives and pepperoncini) are just two of the scores of dishes offered for early risers, but the satisfying greasy spoon fare goes beyond breakfast. An assortment of comfort faves like chicken fried steak and liver 'n' onions are for the taking, and their burgers are hand-patted (not frozen) half-pounders, though there's even a one-pound 'super big mouth cheese burger' for diners feeling particularly ravenous. Veggie, chicken and lamb gyros reflect the original owner's Greek roots. The locale is also ideal for a post-meal walk-it-off with pedestrian-friendly neighborhoods as well as Dartmouth Park right across the street.
