As College Park joins the ranks of nearby Thornton Park as one of downtown's hippest enclaves, more and more stylish restaurants and shops are opening their doors along busy Edgewater Drive. But this popular breakfast and lunch spot remains a local favorite for its unpretentious attitude, casual atmosphere and consistently good food. College Park Cafe is one of those all-day breakfast places, where you don't have to feel silly ordering buckwheat pancakes or a three-egg omelet with home fries long past the morning hours. Homemade biscuits with sausage gravy are the perfect hangover cure, and the cozy, carnation-topped tables are packed on weekend mornings with gaggles of friends reminiscing about the previous evening's events. The enticing lunch menu includes a good selection of sandwiches (they do a mean Reuben here) and pastas. The most authentic homemade menu item is the roast turkey, served just like mom makes it with a healthy helping of stuffing and gravy.

not even close to i2 other area breakfast spots...namely..christo's and paulie's... i ordered an omeltte and was served some flat unappetizing looking thing that wasn't really very good...if i hadn't ordered jalapeno's with it..it would have been totally tasteless... sorry..but i wouldn't reccommend nor patronize this place again only gave it a fair because the service was ok and the server was friendly
