Crispers   

Spreading like duckweed across the Sunshine State, this Lakeland-based chain boasts several Orlando locations, all of which you'll find packed to the rafters during weekday lunches. Best known for its killer salads, Crispers is similar to Panera, though with a decidedly more vegetarian slant. The salads are enormous and all can be ordered sans meat. The Summer Salad is chock-a-block with healthful goodies such as strawberries, apples, red onion, mandarin oranges, sugared pecans and gorgonzola cheese. For an Asian flavor sensation, opt for the Thai Fusion Salad with soy beans and peanut dressing. The sandwiches are pricier than you'd find at most sub shops but ample enough for two light eaters to share. Try the Hot Russian with corned beef and roast beef on Batard bread. Crispers is owned by the Publix folks and the milkshakes here are made with the supermarket's signature ice cream -- not exactly gourmet, but a satisfying sweet fix nonetheless. The Winter Park Village location boasts a nice outdoor terrace with umbrella-shaded tables so you can take in some fresh air with the fresh eats.
