When a joint purports to make the 'world's greatest hamburgers,' they better back that claim up, and though the jury's still out on this Texas-based chain (the jury's always out when discussing such popular fast food staples as burgers and pizza, isn't it?), its one-pound burger alone should qualify it as a contender. The corpulent patty is cooked to order, and can be enjoyed in its original incarnation or as a specialty burger -- the portabella mushroom varietal features the roasted fungus with Swiss cheese and Dijon horseradish, while the "Hot Rocks" version will blaze a trail across your palate. When you're called to pick up your order, head to the self-service toppings bar where fresh-cut tomatoes, onions, jalapenos, lettuce, pickles and cheese beckon to be topped onto your burger. You'll also find a ton of sauces, seasonings and assorted condiments for that extra flavoring. Diners with exotic leanings can opt for a fat-free ostrich burger and even vegetarians are offered an alternative at this I-Drive meat market. A side of 'frings' are ideal for those who can never decide between French fries and onion rings. Steaks, salads and chicken sandwiches round out the menu, and one of Fudd's signature sundaes are perfect for sharing. The hokey tropical decor with movie star theme, multiple TVs and video arcade sets the ideal tourist sector ambience, though many locals enjoy grabbing a bite here before heading to the movie theaters next door.
