Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville   

It may have crossed your mind that Jimmy Buffett's laid-back, open-ocean-lovin' island style doesn't quite mesh with say, a theme-park feeding frenzy. But his Margaritaville restaurant at Universal Studios CityWalk succeeds on all counts in drawing fans for a pilgrimage of tropical eats, nonstop Buffett tunes and, of course, boat drinks. And with three bars, live music nightly and a two-story volcano spewing (what else?) margaritas, you won't find many folks complaining. If you're looking for a "haven from the human condition," take solace in one of Jimmy's famous margaritas -- try the Who's to Blame House Margarita or get sassy with a spicy Mexican Cutie. You'll find the best in Caribbean brew, from Carib and Kalik to classic Red Stripe. And while the food plays second fiddle to the drinks and atmosphere, it's still quite good. Especially the jambalaya and the Cheeseburger in Paradise. Everything about this place is themed to the max, from the fishing rods dangling from the booths to the gigantic sails serving as screens for concert footage. Even the freezer in the 12-Volt Bar upstairs has six holes in it, just like Jimmy sings in 'Boat Drinks.' There's a cover after 10PM for the nightly entertainment -- good bands that play rock 'n' roll, top 40 and Buffett covers.
