Rate and Write a Review A charming market-style eatery, housed within an ornately tiled mansion inside the $450-million Gaylord Palms Hotel, Villa de Flora has something for all palates and tastes. Variety is the spice of dining life here, and with six show "kitchens" -- dining kiosks with chefs serving up Mediterranean concoctions from North Africa, Spain, France, Italy, Greece and Turkey -- this place is a gastronomical merry-go-round. Start with some fresh-baked sundried tomato rolls and eggplant hummus or the couscous arugula. Then take your pick from the prime rib, roasted turkey, eggplant parmesan, leg of lamb or swordfish available at the "Hot Dishes" kitchen. For a flavor of Spain, try the paella or ceviche from "Sizzling Chefs" and those looking for a truly exotic meal can head for the "International Flavors" kitchen for chicken tagine or saffron risotto. And if there's any room left in your belly, the "Dolceria" has an assortment of sweet endings, from baklava and flan to almond cookies and flourless chocolate cake. -- Faiyaz Kara Insider Tip: Diners can season their meals by snipping fresh herbs from plants growing at their tables.
