Hot Dog Heaven   

Good dogs with an emphasis on the Chicago dogs. The French fries are good with a nice potato flavor although undercooked at times. The basket meals that include a side item are a joke. The side’s come in a shoot glass sized container and consideration should be given to shaving a buck or two from the price. Additional charge for a soda refill is absurd.

I ate lunch their one day, just a normal day nothing out of the ordinary and boy was I disappointed. I figured with the line out the door there would be something to this hot dog heaven I’ve seen on the road a million times; something cant even begin to describe it. Their monstrous, sticking out the sides of the bun Chicago dog looked like a Vienna sausage in a regular hot dog bun. What am I at summer camp? I ordered a Chicago dog, but they assured us, me and a guest, that this is what they are supposed to be. So now im thirsty, and would like a coke. A buck something for a small cup, or should we call it a shot glass? The beautiful part of the situation is that it was thirty-five cents for a refill, WFT? Don’t want to hurt that 2000% profit margin when it comes to soft drinks. Back to the quote end quote meal. I can say the fries tasted good, but how hard is it to screw up french fries? You stick them in oil, and bam they are done! So I’m looking at my ‘plate of food’ and the fries were jam packed on the plate, but am I paying for a french fry lunch with a side of hot dog and crappy coleslaw? Oh and here was the kicker. They are so f$king cheap its 35 cents for mayonnaise. Don’t get me wrong I don’t mind paying for my food, but if McDonalds, Arbys, Burger King, Subway, Publix, Applesbees, Every place that serves mayo in the Mall, Quiznos, Panera and the millions of other restaurants can give mayo to their customers I think Hot Dog Heaven can afford it. Hell the ketchup is free, the mustard too. Mayo? How cheap. If you want a sub-par lunch, or if you don’t order the fries an over-priced snack then Hot Dog Heaven is your place.

My whole family loves Hot Dog Heaven and considers it a great place to go out for a meal. It rivals top restaurants for taste and satisfaction. Their French fries are outstanding too. Sometimes the line is long, but the hot dogs are definitely worth waiting for. .
