Located in the heart of downtown Philadelphia, this executive-level hotel has stately charm and is within two blocks of City Hall, the Stock Exchange and the upscale shopping and corporate offices at Liberty Place. The Latham was built in 1910 as an apartment house and was converted into a hotel in the 1970s. It is named in the National Historic Registry and is a treat for building buffs. You can expect all the usual business amenities, plus fluffy robes, two phone lines per room, a second floor business center with copier, computer, printers, fax and internet access. The restaurant is open for breakfast only and room service is available only during dinner hours, with catering provided by a local restaurant. Surrounding the hotel are plenty of cafes and restaurants that make lunch or alternative fare no problem to procure. Valet parking is provided at $14 per day and packages are available that include both parking and breakfast.
