The stylish and successful CC serves upscale, authentic Mexican cuisine with a few Southwestern touches. Executive chef/owner Carlos Melendez, who hails from Mexico City and had worked the kitchen at the NoLibs' Tapas, also operates another CC in West Chester. Perhaps the best feature of this brightly colored and beautifully decorated restaurant is its fabulous outdoor patio with a fountain and wrought-iron tables. The food is authentically Mexican, complemented by a large variety of exotic cocktails, top-shelf tequila, Mexican beer, sangria, and margaritas in every imaginable flavor. Start with a black bean soup with Mexican chorizo or the Coyote salad with greens, grilled pineapple, apples and walnuts from the appetizer menu ($6-$13). Entrees ($16-$29) include soft-shell crab tacos and grapefruit-marinated grilled shrimp brochettes. All desserts ($5.95) are made on premises. Try the sinful bucuelos (fried cheesecake served with vanilla ice cream). CC doesn't take reservations, so you might also have to wait for a table on a busy night.

Presentation isn't everything
By Docvinyl33 on 07/28/2008
My friend and I dined inside. The hostess seemed preoccuppied and only gave us one menu. The lack of lighting made it hard to read the small print on the menu and the loud Sat. night DJ made it hard to hear the waiter tell us the specials or have a conversaton. Silverware settings were short and the wait to get a knife and to place are order was way to long. Decided to place our drink order and food order together to avoid waiting till sunrise. My dinner was overcooked but my friends was good. Nice presentation. They offered free dessert to compensate. Doubt I will return.

Ok, but there are better places nearby
By Zrrbrrt on 07/02/2008
Having lived and worked in Conshohocken I started eating at CC when it first opened up. Regular weekly visits dwindled to monthly and then about once every 6-9 months. And my last visit will be my last ever. Let me first say that the food is outstanding. Always has been. But unfortunately that's the only good thing I can say. The service the last few times I was in there was abysmal - the last visit was almost 2 hours on a wednesday night. And the food is way overpriced for the portions you get - it's not about being cheap, it's about value. For upscale Mexican, El Serape in Blue Bell is light years better, and while saying Taco Bell is better is absurd, there are half a dozen taquerias in Norristown that are outstanding. And for that matter, Adobe cafe in Roxborough (ok, it's more southwest than mexican) is every bit as good as CC with better service at about 1/2 the price.

For all the Haters.
By Nicbam94 on 05/16/2008
For all of you who think the service is bad the food is overpriced and you couild get a better meal at Taco Bell maybe you should just go somewhere else so the 2 minute wait is a little bit shorter for the more patient people. I recomend the fajitas and the cheese and chicken enchilidas with verde sauce. Also have you ever wondered why Coyote Crossing is so crowded?? Um maybe because the food, service and drinks are FABULOUSA!!!!!Okay back to the point dont listen to the people who write bad comments about the place cause they probably been there like once...as for me i've been going there every friday for the past 4 years i think i would no how the food is. Bye bye the cheap impatient untasteful coyote crossing haters and welcome newcomers

5 stars!!!

I have been going to this restaurant basically every Friday (and whenever else I can find the time) for the last 4 years. In all my time of going there I have never smelled poo or have had rude service. Yes the food is a little expensive but I feel everybody should treat themselves sometimes. The food is fabulous! I would recommend the chicken/cheese enchiladas with Verde sauce. Pretty much everything on the entrée menu is great,(entrée is a main meal for you who think you’re eating at Taco Bell). On the appetizer menu the nachos are amazing. The service is also wonderful. Every few minutes waiters come up and refill you drinks and get you more chips and salsa. The food normally gets out at a reasonable time on a Friday night. So just relax and chat while you’re waiting. The bar is a little noisy sometimes but once you start eating and enjoying yourself you don’t even notice it. The patio is nice when you go during the early spring and fall. During the summer there are a lot of bugs but nobody can stop that. Basically I LOVE this restaurant and don’t listen to all of those people who have only been there a few times. Listen to me!
