Darling's Coffee House   

Darling's professes to be 'home of the original Philly cheesecake,' a cheesecake that's apparently lighter in color and creamier in texture than a NY-style cheesecake. Darling's has about ten homemade kinds to choose from ($3.25-$3.95 a slice), from the 'classic Philly cheesecake' to strawberry swirl, white chocolate raspberry, pumpkin, and Grand Marnier. Darling's specialty is Bananas Foster cheesecake, with a topping that tastes like the famed New Orleans dessert. You can also order a whole cheesecake with various toppings in medium and large ($12-$29; delivery available for orders $24 or more). There are other cakes and brownies offered by the slice or as a whole, as well as a variety of teas, lattes, La Colombe coffee, breakfast bagels, and sandwiches ($4.95-$6.95). Lunch sandwiches come on a baguette (Darling's bakes its own), and include classics like roast beef, chicken salad and buffalo chicken. In terms of decor Darling's is quaint and relaxing, from the pink hearts painted on the front door, to the backyard seating, candles on tables and the fine-art photos lining the walls.
