Di Nic's Oven Roasted Beef   

Decidedly one of the most popular stands at the Reading Terminal Market, Di Nic's only serves a handful of sandwiches with three toppings, but they're amazing. The small stand with a diner counter and two tables on the side is swamped at lunch time, but then it's always busy. With little patience, it is possible to get a seat at the counter though, since the service is very efficient and most customers order so fast you might think they've been coming to Di Nic's for years. Owner Thomas Nicolosi oven-roasts all sandwiches ($5.50-$6.75), nothing is barbequed. The roast pork, roast beef, brisket of beef, pulled pork, sausage -- all sandwiches are cooked fresh daily and served on freshly baked rolls from Cacia's bakery. Three toppings are available -- greens, sharp domestic Provolone cheese and roasted peppers. You can combine either two as well. Since all meat is slow-roasted for several hours, it is succulent, and the sandwiches are messy, juicy, in one word -- delicious.
