Kelliann's Bar & Grill   

In the heart of Philadelphia lies this quaint Irish pub where you can escape the mayhem of city life. Kelliann's is a traditional Irish family- owned bar and grill that offers tasty eats and an impressive selection of beers including Guiness, Bass and Harp on tap. Everything from the shamrocks outside the front door to the friendly bartender with just the slightest hint of brogue remind you of greener pastures and happy hours. The windows are trimmed in Leprechaun green, and there is even a giant Celtic cross stationed behind the bar. This cross, which was sculpted out of Styrofoam by a one of Kelliann's regulars, acts as Kelliann's mascot at many of the Irish events and festivals around the city. The friendly environment of Kelliann's attracts quite a sizeable lunchtime crowd who want to fill up on typical pub grub, and happy hour jumps with students from the nearby community college. Neighborhood locals populate Kelliann's during the evenings, while Friday's live rock and jazz music sessions bring all the groups together. -- Dawn Englehart
