In a city where it seems like a new BYOB restaurant opens each week, it's refreshing to know that the BYOB pioneers are still going strong. Take Chloe, the 40-seat BYOB in the heart of Old City (but thankfully far removed from Market Street mayhem) that continuously produces high-quality contemporary American fare in an intimate, unpretentious setting. The dimly lit dining room is often filled with couples out for a romantic evening. However, it's also a good choice for groups, since the menu seems to offer something to suit every palate. The signature salad, with mouth-watering warm goat cheese, is a favorite to start with. For entrees, you can always expect a seasonally adjusted menu of dishes made with local organic produce and meat, such as the pork chops with bacon and caramelized onion. Also try the homemade pizza, which comes topped with fig jam, gorgonzola cheese and pancetta. Desserts are something to look forward to here: Though they change daily, you can always expect a gooey chocolate concoction that'll satisfy even the most picky chocolate lover. If you forget a bottle (or two) of wine, the nearest liquor store is on 2nd Street between Market and Chestnut.

BEST IN TOWN

We recently ate at CHLOE and just loved everything. The CHLOE salad, the pizza and couldn't be more delicious. Each of our party of 6 ordered something different and loved every bite. The desserts were out of this world. The chefs are so smart to keep this place small... it's a GEM!!!! We all can't wait to go back.

The best mussels ever. Not even in the best place in Paris, you can eat similar mussels. The Couscous was a disapointment, a huge one. Lacking spices, while the lamb was over-spiced. The huge gradient in spice made that dish mediocre at best. The Chef should try the Tunisian way of cocking couscous. I will return to eat there again.

all i could say is that my boyfriend had the Talapia and Mussels and I had the Tuna and Salad. Whatever it was we had to run home with severe stomach pains, don't be deceived by the food tasting good!!!!
