As leader of the blues bar pack, the Rhythm Room rolls up its sleeves to unearth Phoenix's blues and R&B roots. The barroom lures top bands six nights a week, digging deep for local treasures and searching far afield for national acts. In between a wall of bar and a wall of stage, experienced pros and new cats mingle, knowing full well that this is a place of preeminent musicians. When the harmonica yowls, it's go time: All eyes are on the contorted faces of master musicians. Patrons savor raspy baritone bawls and painfully bent guitar strings. The centrally located Rhythm Room has plenty of seating and parking to handle its stature as a Phoenix institution of live music. If the sparse rectangular atmosphere of the room doesn't do it for you, the rhythm will surely get you. -- Michael Brennan

Amzing place for Rock-a-billy
By missholleyking on 01/04/2008
Established back in 1989 I figured that I have made a trip to this place at least once or twice a month over the years and by my rough calculation that means I have been there at least 342 times (give or take a few) and over those 342 visits I have heard some of the most amazing things one could ever hear. Dick Dale, Wanda Jackson, Wayne Hancock, Bob Corritore (the owner) Big Pete Pierson, Chico Chism (RIP) Link Wray (RIP), The Hoo Doo Kings, Rosie Flores, Hans Olson, Sanford Clark, AL Casey, The Weary Boys, my list could go on! SO if you are looking for a club that is consistently full of atmosphere and good fun folks, you found the right place. (Oh, and the Rack-Shack out back has the BEST BBQ!) Tuesdays, Rockabilly, weekends, Blues and the rest of the time great Jazz, Honky Tonk and FUN!

Those Low Down Blues
By jsangelmom1 on 06/08/2004
We have been going to the Rhythm Room since they first opened. A long drive for us now but worth the trip. It's the only one in town we go to. Great music, down-to-earth people just wanting to sway to the Blues. We love you Big Pete Pearson.
