Buying a bridal gown at Saks Fifth Avenues Bridal Salon is as much a luxury as it is a status symbol. This Biltmore Fashion Square Saks only carries Vera Wangs bridal line. But this very specific selection of Vera Wang gowns is more than a bride could ask for. Wang, a former figure skater and fashion editor for Vogue, has no formal training in fashion design, but with a celebrity roster that includes Sharon Stone, Nancy Kerrigan, Alicia Silverstone and Mariah Carey, no one is questioning her experience. Her signature use of "illusion" netting, which gives the appearance of bare skin, is a favorite among brides. Although Wang has recently come out with a ready-to-wear line, you will only find her couture designs at this salon. Expect about three to four months for your bridal gown to be custom-made.
