The '50s style arch hanging atop Pookie's Cafe is merely an introduction to the kitsch stuffed inside. Pink, plastic flamingos peep out of potted palms, reflect in the stained-glass windows, and sip Mai Tais from the pink-colored glass bar. Pookie's pink flamingo population rivals Miami's South Beach. The menu offers an assortment of morsels, from grilled chicken on pineapple smothered in teriyaki sauce to criss-cross fries. Visitors get the best delights from reading the saucy menu, laced with innuendo. Every hour at Pookies' is happy -- as there are numerous, specialty house concoctions to consume -- and on weekends the cafe hosts Phoenix's top drag queens.

Only gay restaurant I have found in PHX and it sucks! The food was like Denny's. Service was slow. The linen napkins were mildewed.
