The reincarnation of restaurant legend Bobby McGee's, Bobby-Q retains much of the charm of its predecessor. Weathered brick walls and corrugated metal siding give the place a rustic, Wild West feel, with vintage signs and rusted eating utensil sconces as part of the decor. Hearty baby back ribs, smoked sausage and beef brisket are the house specialties, served with cowpoke sides such as shoestring fries and coleslaw. Not everything on the menu is charbroiled, though. Dinner-sized salads and a pan-roasted salmon fillet are offered for the more health-conscious diner. Culinary explorers are invited to sample the black pepper hot sauce with their pork, or complete the meal with a C.O.D, a.k.a. ''chocolate overdose,'' a chewy, half-baked brownie dripping with vanilla bean ice cream. The adjoining Q-Lounge, with its faux rock walls and leather banquette seating, is the sophisticated older brother of Bobby-Qs. From the velvet rope at the door to the plasma screen televisions inside, it has all the trappings of a swank VIP lounge. There's a large, laser-lit dance floor and an outdoor patio for smokers. Attractive singles are plentiful, as are fruity cocktails like the signature Bahama Chill with rum and tropical juices. Guests can opt for private party rooms, VIP seating or bottle service -- or just cozy up at the bar with one of the bottle-spinning flair bartenders. Special events include blog-party Tuesday, an air-guitar contest with live heavy metal bands each Wednesday and Thursday Ladies Night with DJ Sterling.

This was the first place I went to last year after getting off a plane in Tucson and then having to drive up to Phoenix to my hotel. The brisket, onion loaf, Ribs, Chopped pork, banana cream pie, it was remarkable. This place is incredible.

Had lunch there today. The service was great. However the brisket does not compare to brisket in Texas. Found it a bit fatty for my taste.

We go there for lunch at least twice a month. The food is always hot and the staff is always very attentive. We love it.
