Hidden away in Phoenix's Arcadia district, this Northern Italian gem has an inviting, floral patio that greets guests as their car is valet-parked and they are escorted to their table. Rich, warm colors, low ceilings and formal surroundings create a comfortable environment as guests enjoy homemade cuisine such as sea bass with fresh tomato sauce, roasted pepper, black olives and capers, ravioli of the day or veal Tartufo. I took my husband there for his birthday one year and the evening was perfect. The food was delicious, the restaurant was beautiful and the service was spot on. Best Restaurant I've been to in Arizona

Bland and salty combo

On a recent visit to Daniel's we were impressed with the ambiance and service. However, our food alternated between bland and overly salty. From the bread, which was ho-hum to the pasta sauce, which was even more so, we were very disappointed. My veal lemone was so salty, I should have sent it back, but instead endured. High point of the meal was the wine. and a passable creme brulee. Needless to say, we won't be back.

Our experience at Daniel's was wonderful. The food was excellent and the wait staff, especially our waitress, Nicole was attentive, competent and enthusiastic. We would definitely revisit Daniel's for our next special occasion.
