The staff at El Chorro Lodge take pride in a 60-year tradition of fine food, uncompromising class and breathtaking mountain scenery. The menu lists hearty staples such as charbroiled steaks, prime rib rack of lamb and beef Stroganoff. El Chorro's ocean fare includes swordfish, crab cakes, fresh oysters and orange roughy. On Sundays, the lavish outdoor brunch draws diners from throughout the Valley. Rustic in design with its copper treatments and Western artwork, the landmark lodge features a roomy patio famous for its view of another important Valley landmark, the majestic Camelback Mountain. Wedding dinner

My husband and I were married Dec. 26, 2003. After our small ceremony, we had dinner at El Charo. The food and the service were outstanding. I met with the head Chef ,a week prior ,and ordered our wedding cake...carrot ( my husband's favorite). It was incredible! We still talk about our wonderful experience there ,and would recommend it to anyone coming to Phoenix.

Under 40's only know chains, and not the real thing

After reading the reviews, the bad one's obviously don't have a clue to the majic of El Charro. Its laid back, its not a chain, which is a breath of fresh air. It is a tradition, and frankly, anyone under 36 has no clue what tradition or good service is. They only know chain food, and designer sushi. (Which is not the real thing, Real sushi is a tradition as well). The Bloody Mary's are great, the stickey buns are a classic, and New Years Day Brunch, after a long night before is a must. There is nothing better on January 1st, to sit outside, eggs benedict and a bloody mary or mimosa. In this day and age, I like a class, a tradition, and El Charro.
