Rate and Write a Review Posh North Scottsdale hosts the first of many dazzling Fox Sports Grills that are spreading to big cities across the country. For sheer flash, excitement and amenities, this multi-million dollar palace raises the standard for sport bars. Actually, it's much more than a sports bar. Only an empire like Fox Sports, with Rupert Murdoch's deep pockets, could afford such an opulent undertaking. It tries to provide something for everybody, and largely succeeds. The place appeals not only to hardcore sports fans, but to those seeking family fun and a separate restaurant for lunch and dinner. It's a hip, high energy hangout filled with big-screen televisions, pounding music, a cool lounge, a billiard room, putting green and even a cigar bar. The televisions can show 15 different games at the same time. Several radio and television sports shows originate live from the bar area, and it's often filled with big-time sports celebrities. Fox's full-blown restaurant is not only separate, but also offers two dining rooms that share a stone wall, a fireplace and a sheet of cascading water. One has soundless televisions and no music; the other has no televisions and its own music system. The contemporary American menu serves far more than the traditional burgers, wings and pizzas. A long list of appetizers includes everything from homemade potato chip nachos to New Orleans-Style BBQ Shrimp. Main dishes range from baby back ribs and seafood pasta to prime rib and chicken stuffed with goat cheese. Note: if you don't want your filet splashed with barbecue glaze, be sure to tell the waiter in advance. A three-course meal, without beverage, can range from under $20 up to $40.
