Located a heartbeat away from the bohemian University district, Green aims to make vegan cuisine accessible to everyone; even die-hard carnivores. It's not exactly the tree-hugging hippie palace you'd expect. The eatery is clean and modern, with a refreshing mint and orange sherbet color palette and ample seating choices. Rather than pushing tofu and bean sprouts, chefs do their best to imitate popular noshes like Buffalo wings and Asian noodle bowls using faux meat and soy substitutes. The veggie burger with eggless bun is a safe bet for first-timers, as are the dairy-free chocolate cookies and homemade soft-serve ice cream.
