A regal Spanish beauty, T. Cook's is frequently described as one of the Valley's best and most romantic restaurants, even as one of the top tables in the U.S. Architecturally, it's bold and beautiful. A high ceiling overlooks 40-foot draperies and suspends huge wrought-iron chandeliers over massive wooden tables. The dining room, with natural stone floors, overlooks colorful gardens and fountains in the lovingly restored Royal Palms Resort. Like the decor, the food has a Mediterranean flair. The signature mussels in a creamy, rich Chardonnay thyme broth is a signature appetizer, large enough for two or three people. Duck breast foie gras and apricot glaze is a popular main dish, as is the chef's Mediterranean paella, a traditional seafood stew. Cook's is widely known for serving fresh, organic vegetables, whenever possible from local farmers. Though they're not always on the menu, vegetarian dishes are a highlight. The menu changes with the seasons, and they'll create special selections for you. Sundays are reserved for the famous brunch. The prix fixe menu features a la carte Mediterranean-inspired classics, served tableside. There's also a cold buffet of fresh seafood, smoked salmon, gourmet salads, fruits, cheeses, breads, pastries and more. You can also substitute from T. Cook's regular breakfast and lunch menu.

too fancy
By BudandMarg on 06/17/2008
It would be nice if they offered a few things that were not all glopped up. Fancy is good sometime,,,but good quality plain food to go with some of the fancy stuff would be a good thing. I cannot et there any more..I get sick each time from all that crazy food...

the food is mediocre
By adatasu on 12/29/2005
While I frequent this establishment, it is not for the food. The undisputable best part of the Royal Palms is a gentleman named Paul who one can generally find near the front of the restaurant. Dwight is their premere pianist. The food used to be wonderful 5-7 years ago but is unremarkable any more.

Special occasion number 12 went away when my reservation was wrong, had to wait for an hour to get a table. Drinks were pricey, but the place was beautiful. Table we booked was taken and the waiter had an attitude from hell. The food was luke warm and the service was as well. As for being uneducated about food maybe I am but you must enjoy what you eat and we didnt. No desert as we werent game to try anything else. All in all a very bad experience. Good luck to the rest of you diners out there. We would recomend that you try somewhere else. We came here because of a reveiw we wont accept any reveiwers comments any more just freinds.
