Certain things are accepted as absolute truths, without argument. As sure as Valley summers still sizzle, Pizzeria Bianco still serves the best gourmet pizza with the finest, freshest ingredients. And you'll have to wait nearly two hours to taste them. The pizzas are so good that every major food magazine and TV cooking show has featured Chris Bianco. The question isn't whether he serves the best pizza in town, it's whether Pizzeria Bianco is the best restaurant of any kind. Some national magazines insist it is. Bianco could move from his cramped bistro in Heritage Square to warehouse-size digs in Scottsdale and rake in a lot more money. But he won't do it, for the same reason he stopped serving lunch. It would leave him drained, and he'd be unable to lavish his personal attention on every dish that leaves the kitchen. If it's your first trip, know that you'll be sampling made-from-scratch pies -- fresh dough, homemade sauce, the best cheeses and garden-fresh herbs. Six pizzas are on the menu, all with vibrant flavors and a crisp, chewy crust. Bianco has a beer and wine bar next door in another restored house -- a cozy place to wait for your table. -- Cecil Tuck

PATHETIC ATTITUDE
By HORSEPOWERAZ on 06/03/2008
I went to Biancos after a Suns game with several friends and there was a wait. We never got to eat. The blonde hostess ( I think her name is Christine, Chris' ex) was probably the rudest, most miserable person we had ever met. Basically the exact opposite of Chris. I had eaten there before and his pizza is delicious, but I will never go back there again. I am a restaurant owner in the valley and know that alot of the restaurateurs in the valley agree that she is a lunatic and noone understands how she is still there unless she has pics of Chris with a midget and a monkey. It is a shame because Chris is a truly great guy with an unbelievable amount of passion for what he does.

This restaraunt has the title of being where I took my eventual wife on a first date. We shared wine next door until our table was ready and then of course the best pizza in the country! Forever thanks Chris! Dont ever change!

Bad service
By Pacfan112 on 05/31/2008
I have never been to this place, but in reading these reviews of these customers about the rude service they have received I doubt I will ever go there even though Oprah just loves it and it is supposedly the greatest pizza, I would not take that kind of service. Evidently the owner does not care about the problem with his staff.
