Rate and Write a Review Ask the flocks of customers whether Soma's nutritional food tastes good and you'll get an enthusiastic thumbs-up. Same for the low-calorie fare. True, not every dish is low-calorie, but the menu proudly announces the calorie, carbohydrate, fat and fiber count of all its dishes. James McDevitt, the highly acclaimed chef at Restaurant Hapa, did a heroic job in developing Soma's extensive, well-balanced menu. It's also nicely priced and designed to fit every major diet, from Atkins to Mediterranean to Weight Watchers. Soma Cafe looks like an upscale bistro, with a sleek decor that includes a full-service bar serving coffee, wine and beer. Breakfast selections include the Turkey Apple Sage Pita stuffed with scrambled eggs and seasoned sausage (263 calories). Lunch includes grilled fish with jasmine rice and spinach (247 calories) and lettuce wraps -- three bundles of moist chicken chunk breast, sliced toasted almonds, carrots and bean sprouts (153 calories). Two dinner favorites are Spicy Egg Noodles with stir-fried chicken, broccoli, onions and egg whites (451 calories); and tender charred filet of top sirloin in a soy-garlic marinade (350 calories), served with baked fries or rice and a green salad.
