The name Dejavu suggests you've seen this place before, just a dreamy feeling you've encountered the polished wood floors, smooth walls, stunningly attractive bartenders and patrons dressed in their Friday finest. In a way, Dejavu does harken back to a more fashionable era -- you imagine Fred Astaire occupying a stool, swirling a fresh martini. But if you've never actually visited Dejavu, it may be time to fasten that new silk tie or long-forgotten suede skirt, because in Pittsburgh, where casual is the order of the day, Dejavu is one of the few locales posh enough to warrant Rolexes and diamond earrings. The two-story building has room for hundreds, and the handrails and large open spaces are reminiscent of an Edwardian cruise liner. Comfortable wraparound couches on the second floor complement the general lounge-like atmosphere and are a great spot to sit and talk among friends.
