Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon   

We really enjoy this Lone Star Steakhouse. After several visits, both lunch and dinner were excellent experiences. I took my 83 year old mother here for her birthday, had my two children with us. Great time-staff is abundant and helpful, cheerful and efficient. They have super daily specials and a terrific website.

This was the very first time we went to Lone Star, and it will certainly be the last as well. After we ordered our food, we sat and waited, then waited some more. The waiter didn't really give us much attention, but after more than 30 minutes he let us know that "the kitchen has somehow magically misplaced our order". Yep, after thirty minutes after ordering they haven't even started making our food. It took them another 20 minutes to prepare it, so after 50 minutes after ordering we finally got our food. The food was mediocre at best. My wife ordered a salad with dressing on the side, however they put it all over the salad. My burger was ok, but not anything special...pretty greasy beef. The atmosphere was noisy and it was kind of chilly as well (the air-fans were on in early January!). I was expecting some kind of discount for them screwing up the order...but there was nothing...except a lame apology by the waiter. Overall a pretty big and expensive disappointment.
