Mario's South Side Saloon   

This place SUCKS!!! At 1:05, my group was turned away, as the bouncer said they weren't letting any more people in. Our group was two girls and three guys. Lo and behold, a group of scantily clad girls were quickly let in right after us. The bouncer claimed that they worked there. Whatever! The five of us will quickly spread the word, never to step foot in that place again.

Hey it's not the greatest place but I used to work there and miss all my co mario-ho's and johno. If your ever in Pitt ya at least have to experience it for your self.

This place ROCKS!!! The staff (especially the bartenders, Mike, Cat, Mike and Corey) are all way cool!! Don't forget to tip, these guys work really hard to help you have a good time. As for the food, it is quick, good and inexpensive. This is a great place to watch football games on Sundays (not just the Steelers, but many more games as well) So pull up a table or barstool and enjoy yourself!!! Yeah, it gets croweded, but only the not so good places are never crowded - consider that!!!

If you're looking for a friendly smile, quick service, and cheap beer($1.00 Yuengling) on a Wednesday night, Mario's has it. Mostly a younger crowd, sprinkled with a few middle age business people here and there, and an occasional Gargoyle. Johno's bartending style will keep you comming back!
