Mr Small's Fun House   

At this former church, the music of the pipe organ has been replaced by the punk and alternative sounds of national and local acts alike. (Past performers include the Melvins, Anti-Flag and Ziggy Marley.) The pews that once filled the floor are long gone, leaving plenty of room for you to dance, mingle with your fellow concertgoers and maneuver close to the stage. If your appetite gets the better of you, hit the snack bar for soft drinks and munchies. During most weeks, four to six concerts unfold in the main theater. (An adjoining neighborhood bar, which will feature acoustic performances, is in the works.) As you might expect, the high ceilings provide unbeatable acoustics. Since Mr. Small's has a vested interest in keeping the talent happy, the space also offers two on-site recording studios and hosts workshops for young musicians. Whatever side of the stage you're on, Mr. Small's is sure to make a believer of you.
