Owner Ellen Levick specializes in colorful and eclectic feminine clothing and accessories for women of all shapes and sizes in her Bloomfield boutique. She has decorated her shop with her own creations: wall sculptures of faces and statues that look like ancient idols. The prices are affordable, with many items under $100, including such boutique brands as Flax, Zoe, Sue Wong and Faith. For those in search of unique fabrics, there are silk, Asian-inspired tops and dresses, as well as beautiful floral and nature prints. Levick also makes some of the jewelry that's on display, while other pieces come from as far away as Israel and Egypt, including wallets made of camel hide. A broad range of women shop here, from girls going to the prom to seniors in their 70s -- basically, anyone who appreciates unusual fashion and enjoys a fun attitude and artistically inspired lifestyle.

The Very Best Womans Boutique in Pittsburgh

Allure is part clothing store, part art gallery and totally inviting and invigorating. Ellen, the owner is the sweetest, most helpful shop owner I've ever met. She isn't pushy or phoney. She has a wonderful selection of the most gorgeous items to be found in or out of Pittsburgh. Everything is also very affordable. The store is unpretentious and all the staff is helpful, friendly. I've shopped there for many years and have encouraged many of my friends to discover this beautiful treasure as well. I've received so many compliments the items I've purchased there that hardly a day goes by that someone asks where I bought what I'm wearing. Trust me, you will enjoy every minute at Allure and look fabulous in their clothes.

I had the chance to shop at the Allure...BUT...I was not impressed at all...I was treated as if I could not afford the clothes, as if I didn't belong in the store...i was very taken a back by the owners attitiude...especially aftere I read this wonderful write-up...SO...what did I do after I was treated so rudely? I returned to the store about 2-3 weeks later...dressed to the "T"...carrying the same amount of money I brought the 1st time...boy...did Ellen have a different attitude...she wouldn't leave my side...of course I bought nothing and she was surprised as if to say with her tricky eyes.."WHY DIDN"T SHE BUY ANYTHING? I JUST CAN"T BELIEVE IT..." Well, believe it...i will never shop there again...just because I didn't come in smelling, looking or reaking of money...doesn't mean I didn't have any to spend...because I did...and I spent all $886.94 somewhere else....
