Max Headroom might love the futuristic video-screen bank behind the bar at this rejuvenated Strip District nightspot -- it used to be the old Sanctuary club. But bottle-service customers can see what the place looked like in its church days, complete with stained-glass windows and pews (much more comfy these days). The basilica dome now houses a new sound and lighting system, and there's plenty of room to dance and mingle. The screens can show anything, so look for surprises among the sporting events and music videos. Some nights, you'll even dancers in the shadow box and platforms (look up) that ring the room. Altar has VIP areas, four bars (including a martini bar with specialties like White Altar -- vanilla vodka, white-chocolate Godiva and creme de menthe) and a menu of appetizers like seared rare tuna and grilled-chicken brochette skewers. Now that's divine.
