Rate and Write a Review Pittsburghers know that bridges and booze go together like salt and pepper, black and gold, yin and yang, and ... well, you get the picture. That's why The Birmingham Bridge Tavern is such a hot spot. That, and the fact that it has an extensive selection of beers and some of the best pub grub around. Not to be confused with the 'Burgh's other BBT in Bloomfield (that would be Bloomfield Bridge Tavern), this South Side joint is a favorite among locals and pub-crawlers alike. Here, you can choose from over 70 imports and domestics, along with about a dozen beers on tap. The bar is huge and extends to the second floor for live music shows on weekends, as well as for private parties. Got the munchies? No worries. The menu at the BBT features your standard bar fare (fried zucchini, fries and beer-battered onion rings) along with more health-conscious dishes like grilled shrimp salad. Either way, the beer is cold, the food is good, and there's plenty of room to party. What more could yinz want?
